Climate Controls Replacement Time: 1 hour Tab: $500 Talent: 2 Tools: Trim removal tool Applicable Models: Mercedes-Benz C250 (2012-14) Mercedes-Benz C300 (2008-14) Mercedes-Benz C350 (2008-14) Parts Required: Climate control unit Hot Tip: Use care prying trim pieces off Performance Gain: Working heat and A/C Complementary Modification: Change cabin air filter The climate control unit is relatively simple to remove: it is just held in place behind a clipped in trim panel with four plastic clips on the housing. If you have never removed the trim panel before there is a very good chance it is going to be a tight fit. You will need to pry off the cover plate. It is important that you pry from the right area to avoid cracking or breaking the piece. Also if you are going to be working on the interior of your vehicle make sure you own and use a set of trim removal tools. These hard plastic tools are great for working with trim pieces and pay for themselves many times over the first time you scratch a trim piece by trying to remove it with a screwdriver. Pelican sells them. If you are doing this job and don't own them consider ordering them along with the parts for this job. Get your heat and A/C working again by replacing a faulty climate control unit Applies to: C350 (2007-14), C180 (2007-14), C200 (2007-14), C230 (2007-14), C250 (2007-14), C280 (2007-14), C300 (2007-14), C320 (2007-14)
