Your fuel injection computer (DME) may output a code that indicates faulty camshaft adjuster magnets. The camshaft adjuster magnets are an essential part of the variable camshaft system on the vehicle. If they are not operating properly, your car can run very rough.
There are four camshaft adjusters on the C350 motor, one for each intake and one for each exhaust cam. The adjusters are located at the front of the motor on the end of each cam housing. Replacement of three of the adjusters is simple but if you need to replace the left side intake adjuster, you will need to remove the oil cooler.
Rough running engine? Check your camshaft adjuster magnet.
