Hot Tip: Be careful working around gas

Complementary Modification: Replace fuel filter
A faulty fuel pressure sensor can cause poor engine performance and hard starting problems. When they fail completely, you may be left with an engine that doesn't run at all. If you are getting an error code for the pressure sensor make sure to replace it right away.
The fuel pressure sensor sits in the lid of the fuel filter under the left rear seat in the 2008 C350 and is VIN specific. There are several different types of filters and pumps for the W204 family so make sure to have your VIN handy when ordering. While you do not need to remove the filter from the gas tank when replacing the sensor you will still be opening a small access hole to the tank when you remove it so take all the precautions necessary when working with gas.
You are going to be working around gas so wear proper clothing, gloves and safety glasses when working with gas. When replacing, work in a well-ventilated area, working outdoors is a good choice. Do not use incandescent work lights or power tools, and DO NOT smoke. Fuel and fuel vapors are highly combustible.
Replacing your fuel pressure sensor is easy with these step by step instructions
